Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” Krassow, 78, of Portage, died at 11:33 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. She was born June 12, 1947, in Findlay to the late Louis and Bessie Marie (Ickes) Greeno. She married Merle “Mike” Krassow on September 7, 1969, and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2008.
Jackie is survived by her daughters: Amy Krassow of Napoleon and Sue Ellen “Elie” Krassow of Portage; step-son, Dan Krassow of Weston; step-daughters: Cheryl Rankin of Mermill and Shelly Criner of Grand Rapids; brother, Kevin Greeno of Glenville, GA; sisters: Roberta “Bobbi” Johnson of Findlay and Diana Snyder of Fostoria; granddaughter, Logan Espinoza; step-grandchildren: Keith Peery, Jaime Krassow, Craig Myers, and Samm Walls; and several beloved, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by step-granddaughter Cassie Perry; step-grandson, Josh Krassow; and brother, Bill Greeno.
Jackie retired from Bowling Green State University, and was a longtime member of the Portage United Methodist Church. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, country music, quilting, attending craft shows, watching soap operas and doing sudoku puzzles.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be held 2 hours (11 a.m. -1 p.m.) prior to the service. Burial will be in Wood County Memory Gardens, Bowling Green.
