Jacqueline W. Shaffer, age 86, of Pemberville, OH went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 29, 2016. She was born on April 23, 1930 in Paris, TN to Jeff “Grady” and Novella Jean “Bessie” (Key) Willard. On August 7, 1950 she married Franklin D. Shaffer in Oceanside, CA and he survives. For many years she worked as Treasurer for the Eastwood Local School District retiring in 1992. In her spare time she enjoyed playing yahtzee, sewing and doing crafts, playing the piano and organ but most especially taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren. She left a lifelong legacy of Christ’s love and compassion to her beloved husband, family and friends, Hebrews 13:5, which was her favorite bible verse.
Jacqueline is survived by her loving husband of 66 years: Frank, daughters: Jeanette Stein of Pemberville, OH, Pat (C.I.) Caperton of Charleston, WV, Shirley (Rick) Andricks of Bowling Green, OH, Donna (John) Cavendish of Bowling Green, OH, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brothers: James (Florence) Willard of S.C. and Jerry (Christine) Willard of N.Y. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff “Grady” and “Bessie”, brother: Paul Willard and granddaughter: Sarah Andricks.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11 AM at Faith United Methodist Church, Luckey, OH where there will be additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Rick Andricks. Interment will be in Webster Township Cemetery, Scotch Ridge, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Consideration for memorial contributions are to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
