James R. Bahnsen, age 72, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on April 22, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Services, Toledo campus. Jim was born on September 11, 1944 in Toledo, OH to Harold and Marjorie (Reitzel) Bahnsen. Jim was a barber for over 40 years at the Colonial Barber Shop, Oregon, OH. He was a former member of the Corvette club, enjoyed playing cards, traveling to Florida but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his children: Andrew “Andy” (Tara) Bahnsen of Portage, OH, Amy (Chad) Dwyer of Northwood, OH, grandchildren: Jakob, Emma, Leah, and Noah Bahnsen, sister: Joyce (Paul) Downey of Perrysburg, OH, brother: Richard (Betty) Bahnsen of Perrysburg, OH and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Marjorie Bahnsen.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment will be in Lake Twp. Cemetery, Walbridge, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
