James “Jim” C. Adams, 69, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away July 19, 2018. Jim was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late John and Jeanne Adams on March 11, 1949. He married Sharon (Patterson) Firsdon in Portage, Ohio on April 4, 1997 and she survives.
Jim is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters: Ginger (Bob) Sergent, Nicole (Eric) Reza; son: Brad (Jessica) Simon; brother Rick Adams; grandchildren: Bodde, Bella, Quillen, Lynsee; great grandson Zayne; and former spouse: Jean Powers.
Jim was known as the Muffler Specialist and business owner for many years. He loved dirt track racing, camping, and going to Tractor Pulls. Jim was a member of the Raider Nation and a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings. He was known as a kind soul, all around good guy with a great heart who would help out anyone and always put himself last. Jim was a life member of the North American Hunters, the Moose, the Eagles, the Sons of the AMVETS, the Sons of the VFW, and the Sons of the American Legion. He was a former member of the National Tractor Pullers Association. Anything with noise, dirt, and a cooler was something that Jim enjoyed.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St./P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402 from 4:00 PM until the time of Jim’s Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM with Eric Reza officiating.
Jim wore his flip-flops year-round with his cut-off shorts and t-shirts. The family encourages you to dress as he would for his service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you write down a memory of Jim and bring it to the service. Memorial contributions in Jim’s honor may be gifted to the Family of Jim Adams.
