James M. Schrader, 76, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away November 5, 2021. He was born December 1, 1944 in Creston, Iowa to the late Virgil and Marie (Smith) Schrader. He married Linda Poe and she preceded him in death December 7, 2020.
Jim served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a former member of the Bowling Green Elk’s Lodge and a member of the American Legion, The Eagles in Bowling Green and AMVETS Post 711. He was a skilled woodworker and loved Boston Terriers, especially his beloved Myraa.
He is survived by his step-daughters Denelle (Dwaine) Grube of Piqua, Ohio and Derisa (Mike) Hollan of Kenton, Ohio, nephews Tom (Maureen) Schrader, John Schrader (Anmy Torres), Mark (Beth) Schrader, Mike (Laurie) Cooley and Brian Cooley, niece Dana Cooley and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife Linda, Jim was preceded in death by his brother William V. Schrader and sister Marilyn Cooley.
Private burial will be held in Dayton National Military Cemetery where full Military Honors will be rendered. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St.
