Janet C. Puffer, 88, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Sunday November 17, 2019. She was born in Lansing, Michigan to the late Lurell Work and Lois (Hawkins) Wheeler. She married Charles Puffer on October 8, 1949 and he survives in Bowling Green.
Janet was a graduate of Eastern High school in Lansing, Michigan. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bowling Green where she was a member of the Women’s Circle. She loved gardening and flowers. She enjoyed painting, cooking and baking pies. Her greatest joy in life came from the time she spent with her family. She was a well-loved and respected wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.
Along with her husband of 70 years, Charles, Janet is survived by her children Judy (Ted) Jones of Weeki Wachee , Florida, Kathy Nolte of Bowling Green, Ohio, Mary Beth (Mike) Crawford of Bowling Green, Ohio, Steve (Cindy) Puffer of Bowling Green, Ohio and Kevin (Linda) Puffer of Haskins, Ohio, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Robert Wheeler of Lansing, Michigan, Larry Wheeler of Laingsburg, Michigan and Charles Wheeler of Shepherd, Michigan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday December 6, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Pastor Andrea Curry will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday December 6 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Trinity United Methodist Church in Bowling Green.
