John Frederick Comings was born on June 10, 1951 in Oberlin, Ohio to Eugene and Elizabeth (Shaffer) Comings. John and his family lived in Bryan, Ohio in his early years and then ultimately moved to Bowling Green, Ohio which he called home until his death on February 12, 2023.

After serving two years in the Army with honor, he had a robust and diverse work career during his life as an employee of LaSalle’s in downtown BG, at Biofit Engineered Products, Phoenix Technologies and most recently, as an employee at Wood County Hospital.
John was an engaging, positive, caring and devoted son, husband, stepfather, brother, uncle and friend. His sense of humor always brought a laugh and smile to everyone he encountered and his servant’s heart came shining through to those he interacted with on a daily basis.
John often said his proudest accomplishment was his marriage to his beautiful wife Lynne and they enjoyed 42 years together where love, respect, teamwork, humor and honoring family and friends were the pillars of their life.
