John David Rogers, age 44, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, OH. He was born on October 11, 1971in El Dorado Springs, MO, to James and Bernadette (Greene) Rogers. John married Kyle Elizabeth Crockett, on June 1, 1996 in Warrensburg, MO. John worked as a Cable Technician for nearly 20 years with Time Warner Cable. He had a strong devotion to his faith and was a proud parishioner of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Bowling Green. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting among his other outdoor activities. John was a devoted family man who loved his wife and children and being with them above all else.
In addition to his wife Kyle of 20 years, he is survived by his children: Mary Madison Rogers, Noah David Rogers, Grace Elizabeth Rogers, Ryleigh Anne Rogers all of Bradner, OH, brothers: Mike (Bonnie) Rogers of NC, Mark (Phyllis) Rogers of MO, Daniel (Sharon) Rogers of MO, Fr. Joel Rogers of KY, sisters: Angela (Sonny) Jones of OK, Paula (Gary) Ast of KS, Mary (Kip) Jackson of MO, Deborah (Andrew) Schrag of MO, Patricia (Harold) Day of OK, Theresa (Robert) Miller of MO, Stephanie (Robert) Cartwright of MO, Dolores (Ron) Cartwright of MO, and Regina (Sean) Hutman of MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 3-7 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Bowling Green, OH, Fr. Jason Kahle, Celebrant and Fr. Joel Rogers, concelebrant. Committal services will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Perrysburg, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at St. Thomas More Church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider donating to a crowdrise fundraising site put together by the family to help John’s widow and four children, two of whom have special needs.
