John H. Kukla Jr., 73, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away May 27, 2018 at Wood Haven Health Care in Bowling Green. He was born June 19, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Julia (Sewerynski) Kukla.
John worked for Lower Lakers as a deckhand and in maintenance. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent working on the ships. He enjoyed traveling, taking road trips and spending time in Las Vegas gambling.
He is survived by his sons John Kukla III of Bowling Green, Ohio and Scott Murphy of Toledo, Ohio, sisters Mary Jane Pfoutz of Maumee, Ohio and Barbara Anteau of Bowling Green, Ohio and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services for John will be private for the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St.
John’s family would like to thank the staff of Wood Haven Health Care for the wonderful care they took of John throughout his stay at the nursing home.
