John ‘Jaxon’ Charles Sebek II

John “Jaxon” Charles Sebek II, age 71 of Sevierville, TN, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on June 26, 2024, after a lengthy battle with multiple health issues.

Jaxon was of Catholic faith. He was an Army Veteran. While enlisted in the Army he became interested in radio broadcast. After he left the Army, he was a radio disc jockey, using the name “Mark Wade”. He was the owner and operator of his own cable installation company and later was employed by Time Warner, before his retirement and move to Tennessee. Prior to his move to Tennessee, he was the former President of the Elks Lodge #818 of Bowling Green, OH and an avid bowler on several bowling leagues. He enjoyed fishing and listening to live music.

He is preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Frances Bernice Sebek; father and mother, John and Helen Sebek; aunt, Blanche Sebek; step-son Jim Gregg; brothers-in-law Bobby Ivey, David Ivey, Howard Ivey, Roger Ivey, Bobby Gene Norwood and Shelby Reagan; sisters-in law, Lee Etta Ivey, Delores Ivey and Dorothy Reagan; and nephew Daniel Norwood.

He is survived by step-sons Scott Gregg (Gina) and Chris Gregg (Stephie); step daughter-in-law, Rita Gregg; 11 step-grandchildren, Christie McElhaney (Joshua), Mike Gregg (Kellie), Amanda Velasquez (Melvin), Brandon Gregg, Michelle Gregg (Sam Gieger), Randy Gregg (Jamie), Stephanie Gregg (fiancé, Gage Markel). Coty Gregg (fiancé, Alexandra Stough), Ashley Albaba (Zachariah), David Gregg, and Myka Gregg; 13 step-great grandchildren, Ryan Gregg (Christa), Katie Gregg, Emily Velasquez, Bentley Sargent, Tyler Gregg, Brody Gregg, Callie Gregg, Landon Parsons, Aiden Garner, Myla Markel, Laikyn Markel, Freya Markel, Xyla Gregg; brother-in-law Mike Ivey (Kathy); sister-in-law, Diane Norwood, numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family would like to thank Newport Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center and Melanie with Gentiva Hospice for all of the care given throughout this process.

The family will receive friends 12-2PM Sunday, June 30, 2024, in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Family and friends will leave from Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville at 9:30AM Monday, July 1, 2024, in procession to Burchfiel Memorial Cemetery for the 10AM graveside service and interment.
