Joshua M Flipse

Joshua Martin Flipse, age 25, of Pemberville, OH, passed away on November 1, 2023. He was born on April 11, 1998 in Oregon, Ohio to Martin Flipse and Melinda (Blausey) Flipse. Josh was a 2016 graduate of Eastwood High School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pemberville where he enjoyed reading scripture at Christmas and Easter services.

Josh has always been larger than life. He had an amazing energy that drew people close and made them want to be near him. His smile would instantly light up a room and his amplified laughter was one of a kind! Josh was a free spirit who tended to fly by the seat of his pants from one adventure to the next. Life was never boring when you were in his presence! He was an avid reader who was both intelligent and witty. He was sometimes known for his eccentric choices in clothing and fun hairstyles. But he also enjoyed looking sharp on special occasions. Josh loved to dance at live music events. Besides his love for his family and friends, his greatest passion was skateboarding. He had no fear and would tell his friends “one more time” while they recorded the same trick over and over until he perfected it. Josh was a fiercely loyal friend, and he deeply loved his family. One of his most amazing qualities was reaching out and continuously helping others in the midst of his own struggles. If you were close to Josh, you knew he was a beautiful soul who just wanted those around him to be happy and be the best version of themselves. This could be seen in his career choices, having recently started at Mindful Behavior Care as a Behavioral Health Specialist. Prior to that, he worked at Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center where he was a Registered Behavioral Health Technician. Josh will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him beyond measure and were touched by the many wonderful traits that made him the man he was.

Josh is survived by his parents: Mindy Flipse of Pemberville and Martin (Sue) Flipse of Pemberville. Brother: Michael Flipse of Pemberville.
