Juanita Marie Matthews, 71, of Grand Rapids, OH, passed away May 28, 2022, at Wood County Hospital. She was born December 17, 1950, in Toledo, OH to Paul & Joan (Mandell) Kellermeier. She was a 1968 Otsego High School graduate.
Juanita worked as an LPN at Wood County Hospital, retiring after 47 years. She was a member of the Rossford Eagles. She enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds and watching the cars go by.
She married Scott Matthews October 22, 1972. He survives along with children, Dale (Kok Siang) Matthews-Siang and Amy Matthews, grandchildren, Brittany, Marissa and Kayla Matthews, siblings, Sharon Stratmann, Janice Kellermeier, Shirley Kellermeier, Sandra (David) Gerety, Gary (Judy) Kellermeier, Leo Kellermeier, and Judy Reed, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Joyce Hinesman, Janet Laughlin, Shelly Jenkins, Alva Kellermeier, and Fred Kellermeier.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 6603 Providence St. Whitehouse, OH. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Grand Rapids, OH. In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to Bridge Hospice.
