Julie L. Thomas, 62, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away January 5, 2024. She was born June 1, 1961 in Bowling Green to the late Lyle and Elnora (Wittes) Vollmar. She married Jeffrey Thomas on February 9, 1985 and he survives in Whitehouse.
Julie worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Wood County Hospital for 30 years. She was currently working at Wood County Pediatrics in Bowling Green. She was an active member of Haskins Community Church. She enjoyed living an active lifestyle, playing pickle ball and attending aerobics class. She loved spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. We will all remember her willingness to help others and her awesome sense of humor.
Along with her husband of nearly 39 years, Jeff, Julie is survived by her children Jillian (Brett) Green of Grand Rapids, Ohio, Joseph Thomas of Columbus, Ohio and Johnathan Thomas of Columbus, Ohio, grandchildren Evelyn and Henry, brother Michael (Patti) Vollmar of Lima, Ohio and Joyce Donaldson of Bowling Green, Ohio.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd. Waterville, Ohio 43566. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday January 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Haskins Community Church, 209 W. Main St. Haskins, Ohio 43525. Pastor Jennifer Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Ohio
