Katelyn Elliott files petitions to run for BG City Council At-large position

Katelyn Elliott

Today, Katelyn Elliott filed petitions to run for Bowling Green City Council At-large. Elliott moved to Bowling Green in 2005 when she began her studies at Bowling Green State University.

She and her husband Sean have been married for 14 years. Together they have two children, a 12-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter.

Katelyn has been a full-time caregiver to their son since he was diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder as an infant.

Elliott is a member of the BG Parks and Recreation Board and Tree Commission. Serving the city in these roles has deepened her desire to do good for the community. She believes local government has the power to improve people’s lives.

Elliott also serves as secretary on the board of the League of Women Voters of Bowling Green. She has a passion for history and local government and has attended City Council meetings for many years.

She looks forward to the opportunity to help Bowling Green build on its successes, and is excited to meet more people across the city and learn about their visions for the city’s future.
