Alexis Klassen & Associates DDS will hold its first Back to School Dental Wellness Day, a community event aimed at providing free dental services to school-aged children in Wood County.

The event will take place on Monday, Aug. 14, from 9a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dr. Alexis Klassen’s office at 1218 Ridgewood Drive, Bowling Green.

Limited spots are available for this clinic, which offers complimentary dental cleanings, professional exams, fluoride applications, x-rays, and sealants to children between the ages of 3 and 18.

As a mother of two boys herself, Dr. Klassen understands the financial strain many families face during the back-to-school season, with rising costs of clothing, food, and school materials. Through this Back To School Dental Wellness Day, Dr. Klassen aims to alleviate some of the burdens associated with dental care expenses.

In addition to the dental services provided, parents are encouraged to bring their school forms to the event if they require a dentist’s signature. The event will also feature an educational table manned by pre-dental student volunteers from Bowling Green State University (BGSU), offering valuable oral health information and resources to attendees.

“We are excited to host the Back To School Dental Wellness Day and support the oral health needs of Wood County school children,” said Dr. Alexis Klassen. “We understand the financial challenges faced by many families during this time, and we want to ensure that children have access to quality dental care, regardless of their insurance coverage. It is our way of giving back to the community we hold dear.”

Parents can schedule an appointment for their child by calling 419-352-2371. The event is open to all school-aged children in Bowling Green and surrounding communities and is not limited to patients of Dr. Klassen’s practice. Dental insurance coverage is NOT required as this event is free of charge.
