Larry L. Bowe, age 73, of Wayne, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. He was born on February 8, 1950, in Fremont, Ohio to the late Robert K. & Helen (Laderman) Bowe. Larry married Deborah Spoores on December 20, 1969, in Bradner.
Surviving Larry is his wife, Deborah; daughter, Kristina (Rob) Strickland of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; sons, Robert (Liz) Bowe of Shallowater, Texas, Jacob Bowe of Bowling Green; siblings, Jack (Joy Darling) Bowe of Wayne, William Bowe of Jerry City, Becky (Joe) Dibling of Wayne; sisters-in-law, Kim Bowe of Wayne, Elaine Bowe of Risingsun; grandchildren, Megan, Justin, Collin, Judson, Cadence, Elijah, Adyson; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Helen; and brothers, John and Mark.
Larry was a graduate of Elmwood High School and then served his Country proudly in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. He then worked many years at the former Brush -Wellman, now known as Materion, and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green. Larry was an avid gardener and had a great passion for donating blood and helping the USO/Military Veterans in every way he could. His greatest love in life though, was spending time with his family.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10 AM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green (315 S. College Dr. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402) with fellowship to follow. Military Honor’s will be performed by the Wood County Military Detail. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Bridge Hospice, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, or to USO. All arrangements have been entrusted to Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio.
