Leona Converse (Nonie), 83, of Bowling Green passed away Saturday March 26, 2016.
Leona was born in Bowling Green to the late Charles and Goldie (Lintner) Miller. She was married in 1950 to Donald Converse and he preceded her in death in 1999. Leona is survived by her two sons: Donald (Sharon) Converse and Tim Converse both of Bowling Green; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a brother Art Miller of Portage. She was preceded in death by 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Clarence and Charles Miller and sister: Mary Ellen Benschoter.
Leona enjoyed baking and cooking and working out in her garden. For many years, Leona was a baker at Kohl hall bakery, BGSU as well as a life long farm wife. She had a love for her family and making chocolate candy.
Visitation for Leona will be on Thursday March 31, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Burial will be private for the family in the Rudolph Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be gifted in Leona’s honor to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Southern Wood County.
