Library offers access to local and beyond newspapers through NewsBank

The Wood County District Public Library offers a new resource: NewsBank. NewsBank is the source for news from across the county and across the nation, with newspapers from community entities and national newspapers. Patrons can access current and daily editions of newspapers through this resource!

NewsBank offers community newspapers such as the Sentinel-Tribune, Akron Beacon Journal, The Blade, Cincinnati Examiner, Columbus Dispatch, The Courier, Dayton Daily News, Lima Examiner, Plain Dealer, Repository, and Sandusky Register, and includes national papers such as Chicago Examiner, Chicago Sun Times, Detroit Examiner and Detroit News. 

With NewsBank, patrons have 24/7 remote access with their WCDPL library cards as well as having in-library access to:

  • America’s News: Explore and stay informed on local and national topics, people, and events in areas such as business, health, education, jobs and careers, political and social issues, and more. Features a wide variety of credible, vetted news sources spanning the U.S.
  • Sentinel-Tribune Collection: Explore Bowling Green history through local news, events, and people with this collection. Search current and archived issues with full-color newspaper pages and full-text articles. 
  • USA Today: Stay current with national news, events, and people with this collection. Search current and archived issues with full-color newspaper pages, full-text articles and content only published online.
