Linda Sue Swartz, 79, of rural Bowling Green passed away on Wednesday, November 2, with her family at her side.
Linda was born on January 18, 1937 to the late Harold W. & Esther D. (Wenzel) Swartz. She is survived by her sisters, Peggy Brigham, Bowling Green and Judy Stone (Mathias Gaynor II), Toledo, and her special friend, Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn.
Linda graduated from Bowling Green High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She worked as a secretary at Adjusto Equipment, Ransom & Randolph, Toledo Beaver Tools, and for the City of Toledo. She will be remembered as working at the former A & W Root Beer Stand that was on North Main Street. It was a job she loved because of the owners who became a part of her family. She had been a member of the Dunbridge Presbyterian Church until it closed.
Garage sales and auctions, as well as Church Dinners and Bazaars, were a passion of hers. As well as coffee with friends at Panera’s. But most of all, was the love she extended to her three dogs.
A Memorial Gathering for Linda will be held on Thursday, November 10, at the Sunset Bistro Restaurant located at 1220 West Wooster Street in Bowling Green from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral services.
Memorial Contributions may be gifted in Linda’s honor to the Wood County Humane Society in Bowling Green.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Dunn Funeral Home, 408 West Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
