Lois Rae Allion, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 18, 1944, to Ralph and Doris (Woodruff) Brown of Findlay, Ohio.
Lois graduated from Findlay High School in 1962, where she proudly participated as a member of the school’s majorette squad. Following graduation, she attended airline school and went on to explore a variety of opportunities throughout her life, including working at the University of Findlay. Lois approached each chapter of her life with curiosity, dedication, and a willingness to embrace new experiences. A woman of strong faith and community involvement, Lois was an active member of the Bloomdale United Methodist Church, The Methodist Women’s Group and the Republican Party Women’s Club. She enjoyed contributing her time and talents to causes she cared about and valued the friendships she built through these organizations.
On June 22, 1974, Lois married the love of her life, Anthony Allion of Bloomdale, Ohio. Together they built a loving family and shared nearly 52 years of marriage.
Lois is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony; their children, Jonathan (Cammy) Marsh of Bloomdale, Cary Allion of Columbus, and Lisa (Brett) Palmer of Bowling Green; her grandchildren, Jessie (Theo) Grine of Fostoria, Jensen (Noah) Marsh-Connerley of Omaha, Madisyn Ditto of Columbus Grove, Kyle Avery of Wayne, Koleen (Zachary McKelvie) Avery of Columbus, Kevin (Abigail) Avery of Custar, Karson Palmer of Chicago and Jimmie Palmer of Bowling Green; and her great-grandchildren, Preston Bowling and Warner Grine of Fostoria. She is also survived by her siblings, Jean Morehart of Jenera, Ohio, and Larry (Mary) Brown of Findlay, Ohio, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Cole Avery, and brother-in-law, Jim Morehart.
Lois found joy in sewing, baking, dancing, listening to oldies’ music, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for those around her created lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she touched and the family she treasured so dearly.
Visitation for Lois will be held at the COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, Ohio on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 12:00-4:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Arnold Betz officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township.
