Man arrested for reportedly firing gun in downtown BG

A New Mexico man has been arrested for allegedly firing a gun in downtown Bowling Green on Wednesday night.

Robert Allen, 41, was arrested by Lake Township police after Bowling Green Police Division issued a warrant for his arrest. He was located in his vehicle in the area of Hanley and Baker roads.

Bowling Green Police Lt. Adam Skaff said video surveillance in the downtown area led to the identification of Allen as the person who fired a handgun from a vehicle Wednesday around 11:15 p.m.

Shell casings were found in the area of North Main Street and Court Street. No injuries from the shots were reported, Skaff said.
