Bowling Green Police Division is investigating a fatal car-bike crash that occurred in the city on Saturday, July, 1.
At approximately 2:11 p.m., police responded to a crash near the intersection of South Main Street and Pearl Street. It was determined that a vehicle driven by James Patrick Lindsay, 54, of Dunbridge, left the roadway and struck a person on a bicycle who was on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian was identified as Michael Szabo, 60, Bowling Green. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Lindsay was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and was transported to the Wood County Jail. This incident remains under investigation at this time.
