Marcia Lucille Bradley, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully from dementia on March 28, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born on December 13, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio, Marcia was the daughter of George James Thornton and Lucille M. Thornton (Kirchner). She most recently made her home in Lansing, Michigan.
A 1960 graduate of Toledo Central Catholic High School, Marcia married Tony Munich and went on to work as a secretary at Merrill Lynch in Toledo until their children, Heidi and Matt were born. Marcia began working at Bedford Public Schools as a health aide when they were in school full-time. Later, she became the office manager for Dr. Marina Lung and Associates until her retirement in 2008. Marcia and Tony enjoyed raising children, boating, and fishing. They enjoyed entertaining family and friends at
home and on the water. They spent summers at Elk Lake with a beloved group of friends who returned every year making many lasting memories. During those years she was a devoted mother and enjoyed researching new recipes for cooking, baking and entertaining.
Marcia married Garold (Brad) Bradley in 1996, moved to Rudolph and together they enjoyed life in the country and traveling. Pigeon Forge and San Antonio were among some of their favorite trips.
Marcia had a way of making a joke about an unfortunate situation and making other people laugh. She was funny, witty, and could spin a silly rhyme on the fly. She loved a harmless practical joke and would easily take on a dare, so long as she did not have to swim!
Marcia loved watching sports and cheering on winning teams – especially Cleveland Indians baseball and Ohio State and Michigan State football and basketball. She also enjoyed gardening, landscaping and took tremendous pride in her home. Above all she just enjoyed having a good time and a glass of wine. She wrote this about herself on her Facebook profile: “I am a 6 star Grandma!!* * * * ** Loving life and all it has to offer. Blessed with beautiful children and grandchildren. Found my best friend and married him. That about sums it up.”
Marcia was preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years Anthony “Tony” Munich, and beloved husband of 22 years, Gerold “Brad” Bradley and her brother, James “Jim” Thornton. Jim’s wife Joyce Thornton resides in Cranberry, PA.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Heidi (Jonathan) Schauss of Avon Lake; Matthew (Erin) Munich of DeWitt, MI and her cherished grandchildren: Anthony Munich, Andrew Munich, Olivia Schauss, Nicholaus Schauss, & Nathan Schauss. Her radiant and feisty spirit lives on through them and all who knew her.
