Wood County Courthouse

Justin Marx, of Bowling Green, founder of BG Beer Works, was sentenced Monday to three years of probation on a single count of gross sexual imposition.

He will also be classified as a Tier I Sex Offender.

He was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, $100 supervision fee, and for the cost of the prosecution.

Marx, 48, will be able to travel to the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Oregon as approved by adult probation.

He was charged with rape and sexual battery. The first count was reduced to the imposition charge and the second dismissed as part of a plea deal. He pled guilty in October.

According to court documents on the rape charge, Marx allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a victim while knowing that person’s ability to resist or consent was substantially impaired in January 2021.
