Mary J. Drummond, 100, of Bowling Green, Ohio and formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away May 28, 2019. She was born March 18, 1919 to the late John and Antonia (Tomecek) Podolak. She married Lauren Drummond January 12, 1957 and he preceded her in death October 31, 2006.
Mary spent her career working for Doehler Jarvis, retiring in 1974. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband. They took numerous bus tours including Nova Scotia and jaunts to Amish Country. In her free time she especially enjoyed doing ceramics and needlework.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews Becky (Steve) Dunn of Bowling Green, Ohio, Teri Burkholder of Santa Monica, California, Joe Burkholder of Defiance, Ohio David Burkholder of Archbold, Ohio and Ken (Karen) Podolak of Haskins, Ohio. She is also survived by several cousins, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband Lauren, Mary was preceded in death by her sister Helen Burkholder, brother John Podolak and two nephews.
Mary’s funeral service will be held on Monday June 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Father Mark Davis will officiate Entombment will be private for the family and take place at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St Sylvania, Ohio. Visitation will be held Monday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
