Matthew Paul White, 28 of Pemberville, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at home. He was born on January 18, 1996 to Jennifer White in Sylvania, OH. He later became a 2014 graduate of Northview High School. After graduation, Matthew joined the military, where he was an active member of the Navy until 2016. Matthew later graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelors Degree. On September 4, 2021 he married Jessica Lynn Young in Tennessee. Matthew and Jessica have celebrated nearly 3 years of marriage together.
Matthew presently worked as an IT Tech for Indotronix a subsidiary of Dell. While in college, Matthew assisted with Rally Cap Sports and belonged to the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Matt enjoyed being outside and traveling with his wife Jessica. He enjoyed playing both video games and board games. Matt loved to golf and disc golf. One of his favorite things was learning new things, especially building things with his Grandpa Paul. Most of all, Matt loved spending time with his best friend, his dog Whiskey.
In addition to his wife Jessica, Matthew is survived by his dog, Whiskey. Mother, Jennifer White of Sylvania, brother, Jacob (Kennedy Burt) Berry of Sylvania, and sister, Ashley Vanslyke of Sylvania. Maternal grandfather, Paul (Penny) White, and maternal grandmother, Dawn Sepeda. Sister-in-law, Mikayla (Zach) Bingham, nieces: Lily, Kennedy, Kinsley and nephew, Josh.
Family and friends will be received 4-6 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville. A Celebration of Life Meal will follow at the Pemberville Legion Fellowship Hall 405 East Front Street, Pemberville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: The Wounded Warriors Project or “HOPE” Wood County Suicide Prevention Coalition.
