Melvin Weaver

Melvin D Weaver, a proud Marine Corps veteran and custodian at BG Schools, passed away on July 1 at the age of 64. Melvin, born in Toledo in 1959, graduated from McComb High School before joining the military, where he often reminisced about his unforgettable 12-year service. His devotion to his country was evident, and he took immense pride in being a Marine.

Melvin shared a joyful marriage with his wife, Cindy (Brown) Weaver, for 21 years, during which they created countless cherished memories together. Melvin was known for his strong allegiance to the Cleveland Indians and Browns, and his love of animals especially his Siamese cat, Jekyll.

He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Cindy; children: Timothy and Audrey Weaver; step-children: Jessica Gibson and Melissa Baker; sister, Francis (Bill) Weaver-Snyder; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews .  Melvin was preceded in death by his parents: Loren and Dorothy;  step-son: Joshua Paul;  brothers: Loren, William, Raymond, and Richard Weaver; a sister Linda Heacock; his dog Reeses and cat Merle.

A private service with military honors will be held at Weston Cemetery.
