Michael Louis Kitchen, 58, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away April 28, 2016. He was born on August 12, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to James R. and Edith C. (Henning) Kitchen. Mike was one of the first residents to move to Bittersweet Farms in Whitehouse when they opened in 1983. Through the years he had developed numerous great relationships with the residents and current and former staff members of Bittersweet Farms. He served as a watchman over the people who resided at Bittersweet Farms making sure he knew where everyone was because it comforted him. He was always known for making jokes by making noises then laughing with others. Mike was known for his love of lightbulbs and things that lit up. He enjoyed vacations to Disney World, Las Vegas, Nevada (City of Lights), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and Cedar Point where he enjoyed checking out the construction of new rides. For many years Mike loved tinkering with small engines. He loved pumpkins and popping balloons. Mike was a regular attender of Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Monclova where he always made sure all of the hymnals were back in their place before leaving. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 3, 2016 at 11:00am at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 6603 Providence Street Whitehouse, Ohio. Pastor Reid Short will officiate.
