Middleton Township is inviting the public to a Community Safety Day on Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 21745 N. Dixie Highway, north of Bowling Green.
The public can meet emergency service personnel, watch a variety of safety demonstrations, and gather safety information.
Demonstrations by:
- Promedica Air Ambulance landing at noon
- FirstEnergy high voltage demonstrations
- Township Fire and EMS Department extrication demonstrations
Family-friendly activities will include a Snoopy House, kid-friendly demonstrations, bingo, snow plow painting, a bounce house, and sidewalk chalk art.
Food will be available from Lane’s Country BBQ, plus some ice cream treats/novelties.
Participants will include Haskins Police Department, Northwestern Water & Sewer District, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Or’s Sunoco Towing, Suburban Natural Gas, Wood County Sheriff, Wood County Emergency Management Agency, Wood County Park District, We Are Traffic, Wood County Health District, Wood County Hospital, Toledo Children’s Hospital, Lake Township, Columbia Gas, American Red Cross, and Safe Communities of Wood County.
