Bowling Green Police Division responded to reports of more graffiti at City Park on Tuesday.
A city parks and recreation employee showed police new graffiti on a bench by the skatepark, on the sidewalk near the men’s restroom by the skatepark, and on the electrical box at the rear of the restrooms.
This has been the third incident of more graffiti in City Park since a group of juveniles was questioned on Dec. 10 after being found in the park’s Stone Shelterhouse with new graffiti on the shelter’s fireplace cover, a wall and a table.
In that incident, the graffiti included a swastika and “vulgar” images.
The police are patrolling City Park more frequently now after several incidents of vandalism in the restrooms next to the skate park area.
