The 8th annual Music Against Domestic Violence (MADV) event, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, from 4 until 10 p.m. at Howard’s Club H in Bowling Green.
Music Against Domestic Violence was started as a way to come together as a community to remember the life of Cat Lambert, a beloved member of the Northwest Ohio music community. Tragically, she lost her life to domestic violence, a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating impact it can have on individuals, families and communities.
Since its inception, MADV has been a powerful platform to not only honor Cat’s memory but also to raise awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence. Through the universal language of music, Music Against Domestic Violence aims to bring people together, spark conversations, and inspire action towards ending domestic violence.
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a lineup of local musicians including AJ Knepper, Ol’ Creek Road, and Sonic Sauna.
Attendees are encouraged to consider making a $10 cash or gas/grocery gift card donation at the door, which will be donated directly to programs and services for survivors served by The Cocoon.
