Nominations are being accepted by the Bowling Green Schools Foundation for two awards recognizing those who have shown great dedication to the school community. The nominations are due Aug. 19 and can be submitted at bgschoolsfoundation.com/25.
The two awards are for Excellence in Education and Community Member of the Year. Following are details about each award:
Excellence in Education Award Description
The Excellence in Education Award is an honor presented by Bowling Green City Schools and the Bowling Green Schools Foundation to recognize an individual who has demonstrated educational excellence through exceptional commitment, support, and dedication to the school community. Recipients are current Bowling Green City Schools teachers whose actions have significantly enriched the educational environment and positively impacted the lives of students, faculty, and families in the district.
Purpose of the Award:
The Excellence in Education Award aims to highlight and uplift individuals who have provided excellent education to students in the Bowling Green City Schools as they enrich and improve the lives of others through personal and professional commitment to excellence and service.
Criteria for Nomination:
• Positive Impact: The nominee exemplifies excellence in challenging all learners with high expectations; cultivating passion and dedication to learning.
• Support and Advocacy: The nominee exemplifies excellence in creative problem-solving strategies to meet the needs of all learners in their classes.

• Community Engagement: The nominee actively builds community connections from their classroom to broaden students’ experiences.

Community Member of the Year Award Description

Nomination Process:
Nominations for the Excellence in Education and Community Member of the Year awards can be submitted by students, parents, faculty, and other community members. Nomination forms should detail the nominee’s contributions and the impact of their efforts on the school community. A selection committee will review all nominations and select the award recipient based on the outlined criteria.
The recipient of the both awards will be honored at the annual Bowling Green Schools Foundation awards ceremony, where their achievements will be publicly recognized and celebrated.
