Today and every day, Not In Our Town Bowling Green stands in solidarity with the Jewish community. With heavy hearts, we are sending love, and offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and everyone who is affected by this terrible tragedy.
This past weekend we saw another horrific act of antisemitic hate at Congregation Chabad synagogue in Poway, California, six months to the day after the deadly shooting that killed 11 people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
Today, please take time to reflect on this senseless act of violence toward innocent people in their house of worship. Take time to talk to your family, friends and loved ones about the value of human life–no matter who it is. Make a commitment to be respectful to each other regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or ability. And…make strides to recognize and celebrate the value and beauty of a diverse society.
Together we can create a society, specifically, the community of Bowling Green, that is welcoming and inclusive for all.
