The Ohio Department of Transportation has reported on updates to local road and bridge projects. Here is what’s happening in Wood County.
Northbound Interstate 475, between Ohio 65 and U.S. 24, Perrysburg/Maumee, will experience lane restrictions for bridge inspections on Sunday, July 16, from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
Starting on Monday U.S. 20, between Interstate 75 and Simmons Road, Perrysburg/Rossford, will experience lane restrictions and closures for installation of a turn lane. Westbound will be reduced to one lane during overnight hours. Eastbound left turn to the former Holiday Inn French Quarter center will be closed during phase 1. The detour is eastbound Route 20 to Simmons Road to South Compass Drive to westbound Route 20.
Ohio 18, between Bloomdale and Hancock County line, and in Bloomdale, will experience lane restrictions for finish work through July.
Closure starts Monday on Ohio 25, between Cygnet Road and Route 6, Bowling Green/Portage, closed to through traffic through July 2023 for road reconstruction. Detour: I-75 to Route 6.
Continuing projects:
- Route 25 will be closed between Powell Road and the north corporation line of the Village of Portage through Monday, July 10. Full closure; traffic will not pass in either direction. Traffic will be detoured to Route 6, I-75, or Ohio 235.
- Beginning Monday, July 10, all four Route 6 ramps to/from Route 25 and Route 25 between the ramps will be closed for resurfacing through mid-August. Updated detour: I-75 to Route 6 to County Home Road to Dunbridge Road to Napoleon Road.
- Route 25 from Cygnet Road/Exit 171 will reopen to Portage when
Route 6 ramps close. Route 25 will be fully closed between the Route 6 ramps. Local traffic should take County Home Road or Rudolph Road.
Ohio 64, from I-75 to Mercer Road, Bowling Green, is restricted to one lane in each direction during construction of a roundabout at Campbell Hill Road. Work is being performed on behalf of the city of Bowling Green and will continue until late summer.
Closure starts Monday – Ohio 199, between Sugar Ridge and Muir Road, Webster Township, will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 21. Detour: Route 6 to I-75 to Ohio 582.Route 235, between Sand Ridge Road and Taylor Street, Weston, will be closed for a bridge replacement project through July. Detour: Ohio 281 to Ohio 65 to Route 6.
