Ohio K-12 schools ordered to close for 3 weeks due to COVID-19

Gov. Mike DeWine has ordered K-12 schools in Ohio to close for three weeks beginning on Monday. He referred to the closures as extended spring breaks.

Bowling Green Superintendent Francis Scruci said he was meeting with administrative staff after the announcement was made.

Also this afternoon, Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton issued an order banning gatherings of more than 100 people.

Five people in Ohio have tested positive for COVID-19, while another 52 people who have shown symptoms of respiratory distress are being tested.
