From OTTERBEIN SENIOR LIFE
Otterbein Sunset House, 4020 Indian Road, Toledo, will open up its campus to the public for an event of historic proportions! On Monday December 6 from 5-7 p.m., horse-drawn carriage rides, classic Christmas Lights displays, and ice carvings will be a few of many activities taking place to ring in the holiday season.
“With 90 years of caring at this address, we’re thrilled to decorate the historic property with all the trimmings. A milestone of 150 years of caring calls for bringing back historic elements from days gone by!” states Tara Lloyd, Executive Director of The Woodlands at Otterbein Sunset House.
Given the limited parking on campus, St. Ursula Academy has given the public access to their parking lot for the event. Once guests walk across the street, they’re welcome to experience the historic campus by walking through with cups of hot cocoa while listening to carolers sing holiday favorites. If we are not blessed with mild weather, the event will also be accessible by driving through in your vehicle. This socially distant event is free to the public, however, donations of hats, socks, or mittens are welcome to fill local clothing banks during the winter season.
