Habitat for Humanity of Wood County will unveil build plans for its first Bowling Green home at Name that Tune Wednesday, April 4, at 7 p.m. at Campus Quarters.

Name that Tune is a live, interactive game show which tests the audience’s knowledge of music from the 1950s to present-day. The event will feature six rounds of play with each featuring songs from a specific decade. Contestants will then be asked to name the title after hearing a snippet of the song.

The organization will reveal the plans to those in attendance during a separate game between trivia rounds.

“Our Fund the Mission game will give the audience a chance to support Habitat through buying puzzle pieces of various sizes and prices,” Community Outreach Director Clara Maynard said. “Once all puzzle pieces are sold we will unveil the plans for our upcoming Bowling Green build.”

The plans were created by the Bowling Green State University architecture department as part of a three-year partnership with the university to build three homes in Bowling Green.

The fundraiser is being held in collaboration with the BGSU Habitat for Humanity chapter, which has been raising money throughout the semester for a State Farm matching grant.

“As an organization, we are grateful for the donation that State Farm generously granted us,” said chapter president Jordan Arrington. “The matching grant will be extremely helpful in reaching our fundraising goal for the house.”

State Farm will match funds raised by the chapter until May 15 up to $2,000, which will then go back to the Habitat for Humanity of Wood County.

“State Farm has been an amazing partner to work with, and we look forward to continuing working with them as we expand further as an organization. Their dedication to making a difference does not go unnoticed and we are appreciative of their support,” Arrington said.

There will be no charge to create a team, but a $5 cover charge and 10 percent of bar sales will be donated back to Habitat.

Four round sponsor spots are still available at $100 each. To sponsor a round, please contact Clara Maynard at (419) 353-5430 or cmaynard@wchabitat.org.
