Programs for kids over winter break offered at community center

Looking for ways to get your kids moving and having fun during Winter Break? Get them away from their electronic devices for a little while and over to the BG Community Center for our Days Off School Programs over Winter Break.

THRILLIN’ THURSDAYS-SPORTS IN THE GYM

Thursday, Dec, 27, 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Be sure to pack a pair of tennis shoes as kids will get an opportunity to work off their Winter Break Cabin Fever by running around and playing all sorts of fun sports and games in the Community Center gym. This Thrillin’ Thursday will consist of a pizza party when they arrive, followed by fun in the gym and concluding with a themed cookie decorating activity and a movie.

Cost is $12 Resident/ $15 Nonresident.

Open to boys and girls, ages 5 to 12 years. Spaces are limited so register early.

Registration deadline is Thursday, Dec. 20. There will be a $6 late fee after that date.

HAPPY NOON YEAR FRIDAY-COUNTDOWN TO FUN

Friday, Dec. 28, 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Kids will celebrate the upcoming New Year at the Bowling Green Community Center with a countdown to 12 noon complete with a ball drop watch party. Pizza and refreshments will be served for lunch. After that they will enjoy activities with a countdown theme including Minute-to-Win-It games, teambuilding games, gym activities, arts and crafts, a movie, a snack, and some supervised play time with friends.

Cost is $12 Resident/ $15 Nonresident.

FRIDAY FUNDAY BEFORE BACK TO SCHOOL MONDAY

Friday, Jan. 4, 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Kids will get one last time to enjoy the BG Community Center on their day off school before returning to school. We will have plenty of fun activities at the Community Center to run off that excess energy and have fun with friends including gym activities, wacky science experiments, group games, a movie, and some supervised play time with friends.
