Rachel J Glomski

Rachel J. (Boyer) Glomski, 43, of Perrysburg, and formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Toledo Hospital ICU. She was born April 11, 1973, in Bowling Green to Peggy (Vollmar, Boyer) Woodruff and Mark Boyer. She is a 1991 graduate of Bowling Green High School.

Rachel worked 22 years for Bob Evans in Columbus, Toledo and Bowling Green where she met her love, Eric Glomski. They married on April 26, 1997 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bowling Green. For the past five years Rachel was a Marketing Mentor for Texas Roadhouse restaurants, which in 2014 honored her with a national award, “Spouse of the Year”. She truly enjoyed the job. She participated in several Relay for Life races and Be The Match registrations recruiting stem cell donors. Her most loved role in life above all others was Mom. In September 2001 Rachel was diagnosed with cancer, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She received most recent treatment at Cleveland Clinic and had a stay at Hope Lodge. With each cancer episode Rachel’s goal was to defeat it with all her might. She did that three times. Being a mother sustained her through chemotherapy and other treatments. Family is thankful for the community churches that prayed for her.

Rachel was baptized along with baby Lucas at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Easter 2005. The family is currently members at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, Perrysburg.

Rachel is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Eric, and their young sons Jacob and Lucas, her parents, Peggy (Scott) Woodruff and Mark (Denise) Boyer; her brother, Mark (Kim) Boyer of Bradenton, FL, with children Spencer and Madison; aunt and uncle, Nancy and Bob Gray of Bowling Green, and a host of many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Also surviving are her father – and mother in-law James and Linda Glomski, Portage-Rudolph, sister- and brother-in-law Amber and Tom Bouchard, Weston; and sister in-law Erin Glomski, Chicago, IL.
