Rally BG on Main offers day of events downtown for community

The City of Bowling Green and Bowling Green State University are inviting the community to an event for people of all ages to gather, explore Downtown BG, welcome the return of BGSU students, eat, and be entertained. 

Rally BG on Main will take place on Saturday, Aug. 28, in historic Downtown Bowling Green. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the event, allowing for a day packed full of fun activities in the heart of Bowling Green.

A variety of free activities and performances are planned throughout the day. The fun starts at 11 a.m. with even more activities starting at 4 p.m.. Music, shopping, restaurants, food trucks and DORA drinks will be available for the duration of the event.

11 a.m  Dinosaur Story Time with Wood County Library

11:30 a.m. The Beat Dance Company Performance

12 p.m. Julie’s Dance Studio Performance

1 p.m. Craft & Movie with Bowling Green City Schools – A Bug’s Life

2:30 p.m. Dinosaur Craft Pickup with Wood County Library

3 p.m. Movie with Wood County Library – Jurassic Park

6:45 p.m. – BGSU Cheer & Dance Performances

There will be food trucks on South Main Street from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Downtown restaurants and businesses will be open throughout the day. The event is within a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). Learn more about DORA and participating businesses.
