Ralph Blake, 67, of Bowling Green, Ohio died October 16, 2017. Ralph was born in Germany to the late Don and Frida (Krauss) Blake on March 7, 1950. He married Mary Mackzum on November 9, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio and she survives him in Bowling Green.
Ralph was employed by Marathon Oil in Findlay, Ohio as a Paralegal where he worked on Environmental Research, retiring after 29 years. Education was very important to Ralph. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Mount St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Auburn University as well as a Paralegal certificate from the National Center for Paralegal Training. Ralph was known as the kindest, most generous man, who never turned his back on anyone in need. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by everyone. Ralph was a member of the American Humanist Association. His greatest love was practicing and playing music, especially his bass guitar and electric guitar. He would sit and play for Mary for hours every night. He was a “gem” and will be deeply missed.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Mackzum. He was a wonderful husband and companion and was loved beyond measure. He is also survived by his brother Wayne Blake of Maryland. He was a devoted and loving uncle to his niece Elyse Blake of New York.
There will be no services. The love and kindness he showed in life will be his legacy and his memory will live in our hearts forever.
