Raymond “Ray” Henry Myerholtz, 68, of Bowling Green, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was born in Woodville, Ohio, on September 13, 1947, to Myron John Myerholtz and Mary Louise (Dickerson) Myerholtz. He married June Elaine Asmus on November 6, 1987, and she survives. Ray graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1965 and from Bowling Green State University in 1970. He worked for Henry Filters for 38 years and for the past several years has been employed by Eriez Manufacturing. Ray was an avid painter and has shared his work with all of his family and many friends. He was a member of the Monday Mornings Painters Group. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping, going to NASCAR races, and traveling in general. His greatest passion in life was his family, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their activities. He also had a special place in his heart for his faithful companion, Abby, his yellow labrador retriever. Along with his wife of 28 years, June, Ray is survived by his children Sheryl (Curt) Moore, Ken Myerholtz, Kevin Myerholtz, Tommy (Elaine) Niceley, Troy (Dawn) Niceley, and Brett (Keri) Niceley and grandchildren Jordan Niceley, Taylor Myerholtz, Mason Niceley, Sydney Moore, Kennedy Niceley, Brooke Niceley, Cameron Moore, Brady Niceley, Lucas Myerholtz, and Andrew Myerholtz. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Myerholtz, and by his brothers and sisters David (Nancy) Myerholtz, Janet Collins, Caroline Asmus, Dan (Diane) Myerholtz, and Art (Judy) Myerholtz. He is preceded in death by his father, Myron Myerholtz, his sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Larry Noon, and his brother-in-law Bill Asmus. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016, from 3 to 8 PM at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington Street, Tontogany, Ohio. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 17050 Middleton Pike (SR 582), Bowling Green, Ohio. Pastor Dale Schaefer will officiate.
