Richard P “Bud” Weber Jr

Richard “Bud” Weber, 68, of Waterville, OH, died May 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 29, 1948 in Toledo, OH to Richard and Joyce (Finkenbiner) Weber. Bud was a 1966 Anthony Wayne Graduate. He was an active supporter of AW Athletics, a past president of the AW Athletic Boosters and was instrumental in building the football stadium press box. Bud was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, traveling with family and friends to most of the home games. He was also a Detroit Tigers fan. Bud spent years playing softball for the Andersons and the Whitehouse American Legion. He loved spending time with his family and could be seen at every sporting event cheering on and coaching his boys and now cheering for his granddaughters. He worked for 27 years for Toledo Edison and then at Durbar Shredder in Delta, OH until 2007. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia (Smigelski) on June 14, 1969. She survives along with sons, Scott (Karen Mackley) Weber of Waterville, OH and Jamie (Angie) Weber of Whitehouse, OH, granddaughters, Olivia, Maggie and Grace, Karen’s daughters, Kelsey and Kailey, sister, Judy (Butch) Carter of New Port Richey, FL, his dog Brutus and best friends, Jim and Janell Neumeyer. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Weber. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, Whitehouse, OH. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests giving memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
