Richard (Rick) Arthur Musser, age 61, passed away at his home on August 17th. Rick was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Rick was married to his best friend Nadine (Bechstein) for 38 years and they have three children, Clayton Richard (Monica Lozano), Littleton, Colorado, Blake Carl, Bowling Green and Mackenzie Elizabeth Eyer (Joey), Columbus, Ohio.
Barbara and Richard Musser were Rick’s parents. Rick had four brothers; Jeff (Barb), Grand Haven, Michigan, Marty (Terry), Luther, Michigan, John (MaryEm), Grand Rapids, Michigan, Pete (Michelle), Grand Rapids, Michigan and one sister Nancy Cannon (Wayne), Richmond, Virginia. Rick is survived by many, many nieces and nephews.
Rick was an avid hockey player, starting at the age of 9. He played well into his 50’s and loved the game. Rick loved camping, traveling, drag racing and just being at the home he built. Rick is best known for his ability to fix anything. He loved the challenge of trying to make something work again. Restoring cars and trucks was a passion for Rick.
He began his career as an auto mechanic at Eisenhower Motors in Pemberville, Ohio and was a mechanical engineer for the past 25 years at Pro-Tec Coating in Leipsic, Ohio.
Rick was a 1974 graduate of Garden City East High School, Garden City, Michigan and lived in Bowling Green since graduation.
Family and friends are invited to join in Rick’s Celebration of Life Service held Saturday, August 25th at 1 p.m. at Bowling Green Covenant Church, 1165 Haskins Road, Bowling Green, Ohio. Visitation and fellowship will be held after the service in the fellowship hall at Bowling Green Covenant Church from 2-4 p.m. The family would like you to bring pictures of Rick to share at the gathering.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Dick and Barb Musser Family Fund, held at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
