Robert Franklin Schroeder, age 85, of Wayne, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 30, 1938, in Bradner to the late Henry & Violet (Nelson) Schroeder. Bob married Carol R. Baugher on May 24, 1959, at the Bradner United Methodist Church, and she preceded him in passing on November 24, 2017.
Surviving Bob are sons, Gary (Cindy Ann) Schroeder of Dundee, Michigan, Dan (Cindy Lee) Schroeder of Bradner; daughters, Gail (Kenny) Brinker of Pemberville, Sallie Schroeder Gardner of Bowling Green; brothers, Henry Schroeder of Bradner, Roy (Esther) Schroeder of Wayne, Dale (Sheri) Schroeder of Des Moine, Iowa; sisters, Alice (William) Lambert of Wayne, Carol Harris of Northwood; sister-in-law, Mimi Schroeder of Wayne; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry & Violet; loving wife, Carol; sister, Janet (Dale) Bennett; brother, Paul Schroeder; and sister-in-law, Judith Schroeder.
Bob was a 1956 graduate of Montgomery Local High School, and then worked 43 years as an Instrument Repairman at the former Brush Wellman. He was a member of the Wayne United Methodist Church, a retired volunteer fireman of the Wayne Fire Department, and had a passion for fishing and playing euchre, especially with his friends at the Wayne Senior Center.
