Robin Hofacker, 66, passed away on August 27, 2024.
Robin Anita Cook was born in Indianapolis Indiana on April 15, 1958 to Dorothy Mae (McKnight) and George Wilson Manning Cook. After graduating from high school, she met her future husband Keith Hofacker at Bowling Green State University where she received her BAC in Theater and Master’s degrees in Theater and in Guidance and Counseling. Robin settled In Bowling Green and spent several years in retail sales, banking and, finally, in food service at BGSU.
Robin volunteered her services to the BGSU College of Musical Arts, assisting with operas, concerts, and musical productions. She was an avid reader, liked card games and was a worthy opponent when she played Scrabble online with her sister Helen. Robin celebrated Christmas with a vengeance, displaying 17 decorated trees in their home every season. She loved all things Disney, especially numerous trips to Walt Disney World. Their most recent trip was this past June. She and Keith also enjoyed travel to historical sites, state and federal parks throughout the U.S.
Robin was preceded in death by both parents and her older sister, Edith Mae Tomko. She is survived by Keith, her husband of 43 years; sister Helen Flores, Madison Wisconsin; and brother James (Mary) Cook, Webster, Wisconsin. She is also survived by nieces: Leslie Fritts, Claudia Striley, Kelly Cook; nephews: Darrell Baskerville, Bob Baskerville, Jeff Cook and Scott Cook; and many great nieces and nephews.
Thanks to the many friends and co-workers for their condolences to Keith and the family. Robin was a member of the Plain Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, she would prefer that you remember her with acts of kindness or a donation to charity in her name. A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a future time.
