Ronald (Ron) Lee Cox, age 80, of Pemberville, OH, died June 19, 2024 at Otterbein Senior Living in Pemberville. He was born on July 31, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Norma (Wittes) Cox and later raised by Robert and Vivian (Boxwell) Cox.
Following his high school graduation from Woodville High School in 1961, Ron enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he proudly served his country from 1961 to 1965. He married the love of his life, Marge, on May 2, 1964. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 183 in Pemberville, Ohio and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1148 in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Ron attended Salem Grace United Lutheran Church where he was active in choir. He enjoyed Ohio State football, bowling, reading and watching his many DVDs. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, sharing memories.
Ron is survived by his children Matthew (Tina) Cox of Pemberville, Ohio and Gregory (Lois) Cox of Genoa, Ohio; five grandchildren; brother Randy Cox of Oregon, Ohio, sister Robin King of Perrysburg, Ohio, niece Diane (Richard) Rapier of Columbus, Ohio and special friend Dennis Sandwisch of The Villages, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife Marge (Wagner) Cox, parents, and brother Robert Cox.
Visitation will be at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, Pemberville, Ohio on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 9 -11 a.m. A celebration of life memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Salem Grace United Lutheran Church, Luckey, Ohio or the American Legion Post 183, Pemberville, Ohio. Ron will be laid to rest next to his wife Marge at a family committal service in Pemberville Union Cemetery.
