Ronald Lee Ryman, 71, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away suddenly and unexpectedly December 27, 2023. He was born November 4, 1952 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Harold and Donna (DeMoss) Ryman. He married Rosemary Jean Smart on June 29, 1974, in Clyde, Ohio, and she survives in Bowling Green.
After graduating from Old Fort High School, Ron attended BGSU and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. Ron then taught at Otsego Junior High and High School where he also enjoyed coaching wrestling. He later worked at Dairy Mart and then for the Myles Corporation, in Bowling Green, for many years before retiring. He loved cooking, trying new foods and restaurants, and spending time outdoors. Ron was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. His greatest pleasure was spending time with their son and daughter-in-law in their adopted home of Reno, Nevada, and in fact Ron and Rosemary were excited about upcoming plans to move to Reno in just a couple months.
Along with his wife of 49 years, Rosemary, Ron is survived by his son Brent Lee Ryman and his wife Erin Lynn Rasmusson now of Reno, and siblings Steven (Susan) Ryman, Kevin (Debra) Ryman and Janeen (Joe) Jackson), all of Tiffin, Ohio.
There will be no formal services for Ron, but his cremains will travel to Reno, Nevada, a place he loved and was very much looking forward to calling home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, a place he loved to visit and enjoy with cherished loved ones, at https://www.friendsofottawanwr.org/
