Samuel J Gabel

Samuel Joel Gabel, 26 of Woodville, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 19, 2024, while in Colorado. He was born on May 31, 1997, to Nicholas D. and Stacey R. (Dennis) Gabel in Oregon, OH. He later became a 2015 graduate of Eastwood High School. Sam then attended the University of Northwest Ohio and received his associate degree in Diesel Technology.

Sam, from a young age, liked all things diesel, especially trucks. He owned and operated Sam’s Diesel Repair on Fremont Pike in Perrysburg. He enjoyed diesel truck racing events, and diesel truck pulls. Sam loved to help others and use his sense of humor, mostly sarcastic, to create laughter with his friends. He really enjoyed ice cream and eating anything made from cheese. But Sam’s real love was being with his family, especially his girls.

Sam is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Megan Koenig and her girls: Aleah and Shaelynn, all of Woodville; Parents: Nick and Stacey Gabel of Bowling Green; Sister, Alena (Alex) Turk of Grand Rapids, MI, and Ember, their Golden Retriever; maternal grandparents, Joel and Darlene Dennis of Kansas, OH and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
