Sandra K. Garno, 69, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family.
Sandra was born in Bowling Green, Ohio and raised in Dowling, Ohio by her grandmother Pearl (Snyder) Knauss and father John Knauss. She married the love of her life, Paul J. Garno on March 25, 1967. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2005. Sandra is survived by her two loving children: Toby Garno of Bowling Green and Dana (Kat) Garno of McClure; sister Linda Domer; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Linda Kinder, Flo Knauss, Nada Knauss, Sharon Garno and Marilyn Tomasi, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Todd Garno and three brothers Gerald, Larry and Jerry Knauss.
Sandra worked for Marathon Special Products, retiring after 45 years of service. She was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia and enjoyed singing karaoke. Sandra was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church. The most important part of Sandra’s life was her family. She cherished every moment she spent with them. Sandra’s family would like to thank her daughter Toby and grandson Steven for the loving care that they provided during Sandra’s illness.
Visitation for Sandra will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Sandra’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 9:30 AM in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Sandra will be reunited with her husband Paul and son Todd in the New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, Ohio.
